Candiani Denim, the specialized Italian premium denim manufacturer, together with Orange Fiber, an Italian company that produces patented sustainable textile materials from by-products of the citrus processing industry, and Progetto Quid, a tailoring workshop that helps people in need, have recently launched the Coreva Design by Quid capsule collection.

The new capsule is the first project part of Coreva Design, a jeans brand by Candiani Denim that will feature only capsule collections in natural, biodegradable stretch denim made with Candiani's patented Coreva technology.

Coreva technology uses the elastic properties of a plant-based material, derived from natural rubber, and provides comfort without using synthetic yarns. Denim made with Coreva can degrade in three-four months, instead of the 200 or more years required for fabrics using synthetic-derived stretch yarns.

Coreva Design will debut from s/s 2024 through the launch of a series of capsule collections with companies and insiders that can raise Candiani’s visibility and intents.

The first collaboration that marked the debut of this brand was presented in September 2022 in the form of a collaboration with LP, a U.S. rock star and ambassador of the brand's message of inclusivity and openness to change.

On the occasion of Milan Design Week, a new and larger project inspired by ethical and innovative principles was Coreva Design by Quid, created in collaboration with Orange Fiber.

Art director and project manager of this collaboration is Gabriela Giovanardi, an artist and model who created a project that combines the technical features of Coreva Design, the social value of the supply chain of Progetto Quid, and the technological innovations of Orange Fiber.

Quid is a tailoring workshop founded by Anna Fiscale in Verona to encourage, through fashion, the growth and reintegration into the world of work of more than 150 people who come from situations of fragility.

Orange Fiber is an innovative producer of yarn derived from citrus waste, a manifesto of a new generation of materials aligned with contemporary environmental standards required of the textile industry.

This capsule collection designed by Gabriela Giovanardi consists of four gender- and size-inclusive pieces inspired by vintage pieces from her personal wardrobe: workwear overalls, cargo pants, a boxy shirt and a sweatshirt. All fabrics used are composed of a combination of Coreva denim and Orange Fiber, and are dyed with mineral pigments.

"I have known Project Quid for several years, and I think I was among their first ambassadors. A significant stage in my growth allowed me to represent a project, ideas and values that I fully share. Years later, thanks to Candiani and Coreva, of which I am a testimonial, I have experienced the same emotions again. The idea of introducing Quid to Candiani arose spontaneously. This capsule is a small synthesis of the positive energy that two Italian realities of great excellence and thought can unleash together," Giovanardi explained.
