Denim specialist G-Star Raw and the Monks, from the La Trappe brewery, have just started a very special collaboration.
As sustainability is at the top of the agenda for both brand G-Star designed a sustainable denim shirt especially for the Monks. The unique piece of clothing is made entirely from Cradle to Cradle Gold Certified denim and matches the philosophy of the monks, their famous Trappist beer and G-Star Raw.
G-Star's sustainable denim cloth for La Trappe Monks
The collaboration between G-Star and the monks of La Trappe is based not only on their shared affinity for craftsmanship, but also on the responsibility both companies share in terms of sustainability. For example, the reuse of water and raw materials in the production of the monks' beer is of great importance. G-Star also applies this circular approach by working with recycled materials, designing for reuse, and using as many Cradle to Cradle Certified materials as possible.
