Baldinini, the historic Made in Italy footwear and accessory company, has chosen to collaborate with ACBC, an Italian B Corp experienced in designing and producing sustainable and animal friendly shoes whose name is a shortened form for "Anything Can Be Changed".
On the occasion of Milan Fashion Week, the ACBC × Baldinini capsule collection will make its debut.
The capsule, consisting of more than 20 men's and women's models, is made from responsible and certified materials, recycled bio-based pre- and post-consumer materials chosen to minimize the CO2 impact on the environment. Among the materials used there are recycled thermoplastic polyurethane, PET bottles, and sugarcane derivatives.
The midsole is partially made of Bio-EVA, a biosynthesized material from sugarcane, and the lining of RePET, post-consumer recycled polyester. The new sneakers combine ethics, innovation and aesthetics and come in two variants, one low-cut in the classic sneaker version and one mid-cut, in a wide color palette: white, blue, black, plum and multicolor.
"We are presenting the first capsule witnessing Baldinini's commitment to a more responsible future that is attentive to reducing environmental impact. This was possible thanks to the meeting with ACBC, which married our heritage with an innovative hand, in the sign of Italian excellence, which has always been an intrinsic value of our DNA," said Christian Prazzoli, CEO, Baldinini.
