Sustainability is also an intensively discussed topic in the mainstream fashion segment. For example, at the German women's pants specialist Rosner. From the coming fall/winter season on, 50% of the pants are to feature at least one sustainability aspect, for example the use of recycled fibers.
Very specifically, there are innovations in denim, among other things, including the so-called "Eko Hemp Denim." Also, part of the collection is a stable eco-denim, in which special dyeing processes save significantly more water than conventional methods. Furthermore, Rosner launches a GOTS certified No Dye Ecru Denim, whose production is said to use almost 90% less energy. This is made from unbleached cotton with husk residues from the cotton plant. "We will also be expanding our Candiani denims more," explains Lirijet Farizi, head of product and design at Rosner (and its sister labels Toni and Relaxed by Toni). Italian denim producer Candiani is considered a pioneer in sustainable materials.
