The German brand 1C1Y combines its sensitivity for environmental issues along with charity ambitions, as it characterized by a strong passion for design, extravagance and high quality standards with acting responsibly toward the world and people around us.
It originates from a collective of designers, architects, photographers, activists, and other professionals willing to create fashion with an added value meant to help others. It started taking its first steps in 2020 by launching a black t-shirt and the distinctive print "1C1Y", the abbreviation for the slogan “One Child One Year”, and it evolved into a social fashion luxury brand in 2022. With each garment purchased, customers support a child for one year in a creative education project run by a non-profit partner organization, Arthelps.

The brand’s ambitions manifests themselves in various values and principles. Transparency and credibility, for example, shape the selection of all external partners with whom 1C1Y works. Working conditions and social standards in all companies involved in manufacturing 1C1Y are constantly monitored and the entire production chain of the collection is fully traceable.

Animal welfare plays an equally important role, too, as practices that involve mulesing are avoided. In addition, 1C1Y's manufacturing process conforms to the 'Five Freedoms of Animals', an international concept for evaluating animal welfare under human care.
1C1Y is also committed to offering high quality standards for its production in order to guarantee durability, therefore each piece of it will not be replaced after only one season.
