Born and raised in Hamburg, Germany, Gerrit Jacob moved to London at age 18 to study BA Womenswear at Central Saint Martins.

Under the direction of Alessandro Michele, he focused on the luxury brand’s main collections as well as on special projects for celebrities including Billie Eilish, Harry Styles & Lil Nas X, among others.
In 2021, he relocated to Germany to launch his own eponymous brand in Berlin.

In this collection he merges memories from him past and his studies adding aspects from his own visual research inspired by flashy colors from the historical carnival in Hamburg he often visited during his childhood and adolescence and has always been visually fascinated by such lights and bright colors. Today this same fascination is carried over in the prints of his collection: being distorted, using neon colors and producing an effect of chaotic fun along with other visual elements representing strongly stylized animal prints of phoenixes, tigers and panthers.
Silhouettes are a deeply nostalgic take on the awkwardness of coming-of-age creating a juxtapposition between ill-fitting and oversized elements with the kitsch element of the artworks.
The designer uses such materials as leather, denim, mesh and jersey, all of which have been printed in world-class factories located in Italy’s historic Como region.

Retail prices range between €290 for a Lycra printed top to €490 for denim printed jeans to €590 for a denim printed jackets.
