Ella Silla is a designer label specialized in luxury and sustainable made-to-order cashmere garments. Founded in 2018, this brand’s handmade collections vary from timeless cardigans and sweaters to contemporary and playful pieces.
The label’s origins are rooted many decades ago in the hands of the woman who gave it its name, Ella Silla Siewertsen, who transmitted her passion and virtuoso knitting through three generations of craftsmanship that are evident in the brand’s highest and softest quality.
The collection of cashmere fibers is done by carefully combing out the soft undercoat on the neck and belly of the animals. After the fibers have been washed and sorted by hand on site, they are processed into exclusive cashmere wool in traditional spinning mills in Italy. Each piece is made to order from the brand’s own yarn that is developed by some of the most renowned manufacturers in Italy.
Based in Hamburg, the brand speaks to an ever-growing audience within Germany and Europe. Nowadays led by a new generation duo, great-granddaughter Lisa Weinhold and her mother, Ella Silla’s original craft is thus not only continued, but evolved to offer products that are both familiar and exclusive. And sold at retail prices that range from €990 to €1540 for a knitted top.
