Cruna, whose name means "eye of the needle" in English, is an Italian menswear brand born in 2013. Its two founders, Alessandro Fasolo and Tommaso Pinotti, decided to create this brand because, dissatisfied with the market offered, they were looking for quality smart casual pants, but updated in fit and style.

The brand now sells in Italy and abroad in top stores including The Optimist in Los Angeles, Spiga 3 in Sweden and Wicky Boutique in Switzerland. Department stores that distribute it include Lodenfrey, Printemps and Rinascente. Its prices range from €160 for a t-shirt or polo shirt, €160 to €190 for pants and €390 to €520 for a jacket.
Alessandro Fasolo, CEO and co-founder, explained how the brand was born and what are its features.
How did the idea of founding Cruna come about?
Cruna was born in 2013, when my partner Tommaso Pinotti and I, then 27 years old, decided to produce, a bit as a joke, a bit as an intuition, the first Cruna pants, born to have a garment that we liked to wear, of high quality but that could be distinguished from the pants on the market for innovation and updated stylistic proposal.

This is how the Cruna pants were born, strictly Made in Italy, made using the best fabrics and accessories and characterized by technical and stylistic innovation to meet the needs of the modern and dynamic man.
What is the distinctive feature that differentiates it from other brands?
Quality and innovation. This is the pact we sign on each product, identified by the iconic Cruna embroidered on each garment. It is a symbol that identifies the tradition of craftsmanship and the passion we put into making each of our products.

Each Cruna garment is produced with passion for Veneto, a region rich in excellence that guides and motivates the creation of all our collections.
We reinterpret - according to our point of view - the most iconic items of the male wardrobe, even those of more casual origin, raising them in a new shade of pleasantness.
We dress the dynamic, contemporary and sophisticated man, expressing his innate elegance in every moment of his day.

All our garments are made entirely in Italy. Our short supply chain allows us to have full control of the production process, benefiting from speed and flexibility in the management of operational flows.
The real sustainability of the product lies in giving value to every single creation, creating durable garments, with a high intrinsic and emotional value, that can recreate the sense of wonder and pleasure given by the rediscovery of quality.
Do you use any innovative or sustainable materials for the collection?
For s/s 2022 we offer a wide selection of high-quality fabrics in cotton, linen and cool wool. For the Active line, characterized by unstructured and contemporary lines, we have chosen technical fabrics of the highest level that meet the quality of a 100% Made in Italy supply chain. These are versatile garments with no-iron, hyper stretch and crease-resistant, yet breathable technical features.

Some natural fabrics used are tracked at origin and selected for their refined appearance and low environmental impact.
In addition, we offer organic combed cotton bouclé garments, organic yarn-dyed Pima cotton crêpe, GOTS cotton dyed with naturally occurring mineral pigments, and a GOTS certified raw cotton canvas with gussets.
