Allied Feather + Down
The US family-owned company has been sourcing and processing down responsibly while developing innovation within the insulation market for over 30 years. The company is a responsible supplier of raw material in the industry and created various programs including the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) and Track My Down, through which it is committed to safeguarding the welfare of animals while protecting the environment.
The company has launched its first ever down jacket capsule collection, created in collaboration with apparel and textile expert partner companies.

This new capsule is made up of four jackets designed with the aim to blur the line between outdoor performance and fashion-forward aesthetics, offering gender-fluid jackets padded with ethically-sourced down from Allied.
Japanese culture has long embraced the collision of urban and outdoor style, and each of these jackets embraces this sensibility and image. For these reasons the collection was designed by a young creative Japanese design team that has worked with some of the most creative fashion, streetwear and technical collections.
The collection can currently be found in some high-end retailers throughout Japan, including Beauty & Youth and Barney’s New York, and on-line in the US at alliedfeatherdown-product.com and through Allied’s Zero Degrees North, a design and creative inspiration lab (zeronrth.com).

With a strategy of periodic apparel releases, the collection is meant to be timeless yet relevant to current trends and will continue to expand and contract throughout the fall and winter months as new products are built.
The first drop includes The Flameproof Down Coat, a style built to withstand the harshest environments, from alpine mountain tops to frigid urban explorations. It features a near bomb-proof shell and is filled with a 700 fill power performance recycled down, guaranteeing it looks good for very long.
The Weatherproof Coat consists of a 3L outer shell and has an extremely lightweight removable down jacket liner featuring a 700 fill power performance recycled down. It can be worn in three different ways, it packs minimally and still provides protection and warmth from a wide range of weather conditions.
