Agogic Outerwear is a new apparel brand born in 2020 in Bologna, Italy. It was founded by Salome Wilson, a former The North Face designer and expert insider from the sportswear market who also previously worked for brands such as Woolrich and North Sails.

Its name is a reference to a harmonious long-lasting musical note. Thus the brand aims to be used in different contexts and seasons while always guaranteeing high protection and comfort. It is aimed at active, working women and men between 30 and 50 and it combines a system of modular layered no-season, timeless, versatile, classic design and robust pieces made with sustainable materials.

“Big brands have a big responsibility, but in the market the price is often setting the direction,” explains Wilson, who is also CEO of the brand. “According to my experience, instead, offering performance pieces that are sustainable is key. This is why I decided to start offering this compact genderless four-piece collection characterized by a trench, a parka and two inner layers of different weight and materials. All items are characterized by timeless design and unique modular layering, and are made with robust, sustainably produced materials. Moreover, to extend the lifecycle of each piece of clothing, we will offer for this fall a repair and buyback system as our clothes are genuinely made to last.”

Agogic also ensures fair wages, labor rights and transparency in the manufacture of its garments. While fast fashion pollutes the oceans and the land, Agogic opts for materials that help keep them cleaner. It uses only responsibly sourced, high-performance, eco-friendly materials such as Seaqual yarn, a high quality 100% post-consumer recycled polyester yarn containing upcycled marine plastic, Primaloft, high-performance insulation and fabrics alternative to down filling, and Polartec Power Air, a new knit construction that encapsulates air to retain warmth and reduces microfiber shedding. Jackets made with Xpore, a highly breathable PFC and solvent free three layer fabric, are also part of the collection.

In 2021 it received a special recognition by the Ispo trade show for the “Ispo Brand New” category. “The jury was immediately enamored with the look and feel of Agogic’s weatherproof collection,” commented Luise Wunner, cofounder & CMO SensuSports, and Ispo jury member. “But function and style alone are not enough: Agogic Outerwear also focuses on sustainable material innovation, durability and CO2 conscious logistics,” she added.

The collection is now sold via e-commerce and soon also through a few Europewide selected physical stores at prices between €160 and €420. In a few months the brand will also issue a special pop-up concept to present itself inside physical stores.
