La Martina will open a new store in Milan in early 2023 in continuity with a precise retail strategy in addition to an experiential one that began in 2022 with events such as a fashion show in June in Milan and an event at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo in September.

The new flagship store will open in Corso Garibaldi 1 and will be designed to be a lifestyle hub composed of two spaces, one of which will be an innovative retail space where digital and physical experience will intertwine to create a modern shopping experience with exclusive products and limited edition collections. The other space will be dedicated to taste and will be created in partnership with one of the most famous Argentine restaurants in Milan and will offer exceptional lunch menus.

"We are extremely pleased with the Milano flagship store project that we plan to open between the end of January and the first half of February," commented Alessandro Santamaria, vice president, La Martina.

"Our new 500-sq.-meter store, signed by archistar and designer Fabio Novembre, will be located in Milan city center and will become the brand's largest single-brand boutique in Europe," commented Adrian Simonetti, a member of the brand's founding family, president La Martina Group and former chief innovation officer for the development, design and performance of technical equipment designed for the safety of polo players.

"The Milan monobrand underlines the brand's ongoing commitment to the city, as well as adding an important piece in terms of presence in the Italian market," Simonetti added. "We return to the fashion capital according to a new and even more important form of presence. Through this opening we want to focus on a very strong design link aimed to become our image pillar in Europe," Simonetti concluded.

The store opening ties in with a series of important achievements that the brand wants to further consolidate given that the brand will close 2022 with a 15% increase in sales compared to 2021 and record a 29% growth in orders (even if no reference figure from the past has been disclosed) at the close of the spring/summer 2023 sales campaign, despite the repercussions of the inflationary crisis.

"We have experienced a growth path with excellent results thanks to multiple factors including our global distribution network and retail expansion through the development of several new corners within most important multibrand stores," Santamaria explained.

"Another driver of our growth has been the development of an evolved omnichannel strategy that has allowed us to strengthen our connection between off- and on-line,” he added. "On the one hand, more than 120 wholesalers have benefited from our corporate 'infinite shelf' system, being able to access an unlimited selection of products in-store, and on the other hand, while customers can finalize the order, if the product is not physically available, they have the option of home delivery or in-store pickup," the manager added."We are continuing to grow in double digits and very good signals continue to come in from our consumers regarding the fall/winter 2022 collections," Santamaria continued.

"The marketing and communication strategy put in place over the past year has also proven to be key, which has allowed us to strengthen the brand's influence and recognition. In the last six months alone, among other projects, we participated for the first time last June in Milan Fashion Week with a big show, and in September we organized a spectacular fashion show on the steps of the Teatro Massimo in Palermo. These events have allowed the brand to get closer and closer to the Millenials' generation by satisfying their need for ever-new experiences and identifying the brand as a real lifestyle," the manager added.
