Recycling everything is possible. This seems the most recent mantra echoing everywhere - from fashion to fabrics, passing through accessories.

Among one of the newest examples, there is a new project by Samsonite that will last for the whole month of November 2022.

As part of its global strategy "Our Responsible Journey”, the global suitcase and bag brand Samsonite has launched the initiative "Recycle Your Suitcase". In collaboration with recycling specialist PreZero, Samsonite is giving old suitcases a new life possibility according to the company's vision to become the world's most sustainable lifestyle bag and luggage company, while maintaining its own identity.

From November 2 to November 30, by bringing all hard-sided suitcases, regardless of brand, to the Samsonite store, Tal 4 Munich, in Munich, Germany, and by buying a new Samsonite item in the same store of the worth of at least €180, anyone will receive a €30 discount during the promotional period.

In cooperation with PreZero, Samsonite ensures that each suitcase will be disassembled, whereupon each part will be separately processed and returned to the recycling loop.

The "Recycle Your Suitcase" is not Samsonite's first step in implementing its global responsible strategy. As the company’s strategy focuses on developing long-lasting products, that may help reduce their impact on the planet and collaborate with partners and charitable projects.

Recently, for example, the company launched its innovative Magnum Eco collection, made from recycled household waste. Thanks to its patented Recyclex technology, the shells are made from recycled polypropylene and the lining from recycled PET bottles. By recycling 483 yogurt cups and 14 PET bottles, they can produce a large suitcase.

In September, Samsonite once again participated in World Clean Up Day. Within that initiative, Samsonite employees from Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom and America collected litter along streets and in nature.

Samsonite is committed to continuing to champion such initiatives. The travel suitcase and bag manufacturer sees it as its duty to continue contributing to a greener planet, as expressed by its newly released slogan, "Expect a cleaner planet".
