For s/s 2022, global sports brand Adidas Originals and its long-time partner Parley for the Oceans, a non-profit organization focused on the protection of the oceans, are launching a collection of iconic models including the Superstar, the Stan Smith, the Nice and the Forum among others, reinterpreted with the aim to help offer our planet a better future.

Each sneaker of this collection is made with a yarn that contains at least 50% Parley Ocean Plastic, obtained from recycled plastic waste collected from remote islands, coastal regions and beaches. The other 50% of the yarn is made from recycled polyester. The collection combines style and progress and is just one of the innovations that reflect Adidas' commitment to the fight against plastic waste.

At the heart of the collection are two reworked interpretations of the iconic Nice silhouette: the Nice Parley Hi and the Nice Parley Lo styles. Both shoes are made of wrapped webbing that has been assembled layer by layer to minimize the production process. Each sneaker is finished in simple black and white and created with the aim to set a new step in order to give waste a new life.
