Within Paris Fashion Week, Paco Rabanne has launched “Sunburnt”, its first upcycled capsule in collaboration with LVRSustainable di LuisaViaRoma.

The new capsule offers a selection of prêt-à-porter, bags and accessories with an irreverent and bold flair created by upcycling the maison’s stocks.

Part of the collection will be available exclusively at LuisaViaRoma - online and in store - since 28 September 2022.

With this project, Paco Rabanne aims to enhance existing materials by creating new sustainable collections.

Archival botanical prints, printed jersey, satin and sequins are dyed in a workshop near Paris using the over dye technique, to give a new look to existing pieces.

Pastel hues and sunset shades are the new capsule’s most favorite colors for second-skin scubas and '70s style patchwork slip-on dresses of this new sustainable collection.

For the occasion, the iconic dress worn by Françoise Hardy on the cover of Elle in 1967 was recreated by using a compound of powdered shells and castor oil, used as an alternative to standard polymer plastic, transformed into opaque white elements composing the dress.
