PVH Europe, the European headquarters of PVH Corp., has entered into a multi-year partnership with circular fashion technology group Infinited Fiber Company. The purpose of the agreement is to elevate the sustainability of products offered in Europe by its Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger brands.

Infinited Fiber Company uses a new technology that allows for the regeneration of textile waste to create Infinna, a new textile fiber, which will be used to make Tommy Hilfiger products in Europe initially, and, in a second phase, for Calvin Klein as well.

This new partnership is in keeping with PVH Corp.'s long-term commitment to innovation, circularity and its Forward Fashion strategy to reduce all negative impacts to zero by 2030.

Infinna is a patented regenerated textile fiber with a soft, natural look and feel very similar to that of virgin cotton. Created using tried and tested technology, these premium fibers can be made from cotton-rich textile waste that would otherwise end up in landfills or be burned. Currently sourced locally in Finland by Infinited Fiber, the old fabrics are broken down at the molecular level and reborn as new fibers.

With the new agreement, PVH Europe joins a select group of global fashion companies that have secured supplies of Infinna for the coming years, while Infinited Fiber Company plans to increase production, with the goal of making regenerated textile fiber a mainstream material of the future. PVH Europe will, in addition, be able to recycle its own scrap and factory waste as raw material for Infinited Fiber's process.

"We are committed to pioneering and collaborating with like-minded industry leaders to make more innovative and sustainable products," said Esther Verburg, EVP, sustainable business and innovation, Tommy Hilfiger Global and PVH Europe. "We are proud to join forces with Infinited Fiber Company to turn our waste into new products, truly closing the loop without sacrificing the high quality our consumers know and expect from our brands.”

The first Tommy Hilfiger t-shirts made with Infinna will launch in the European market in summer 2022, with further expansion into new product categories and for Calvin Klein for the coming seasons.

"We've been working with PVH Europe for several years now, and they were one of the first companies to work with fabrics made with our Infinna textile fiber," said Kirsi Terho, key account Director, Infinited Fiber Company.

The teams at PVH Corp. Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein are constantly discovering, testing and scaling several innovative textile projects, including two new alternative materials to leather, one of which is made by recycling waste from grape processing and another one is obtained from mushrooms.
