Norrøna, the Norwegian four-seasons outdoor specialist, continues its journey toward a gradual reduction of its emissions.

As part of its fall/winter 2023/2024 collection, it has developed a special collaboration focus with Gore-Tex and its new EPE PFC-free membrane.

"From the beginning, one of our biggest goals has been to perfectly optimize the development of the best possible gear while using the most innovative and sustainable materials," reported Norrøna's CEO Jørgen Jørgensen. "As a close partner of Gore-Tex, we have been instrumental in the extensive testing phases of the new PFC-free membrane, which has met our uncompromisingly high standards on the one hand, while demonstrating a smaller environmental footprint on the other."

"We have been pushing for the elimination of PFCs in Gore-Tex from the very beginning and are very pleased that this has now been achieved. The introduction of the new technology in the Tamok collection is an important step towards our ambitious goal of carbon neutrality by 2029, as part of Norrøna's Responsibility Roadmap," he added.

Designed for backcountry skiing and snowboarding in deep snow conditions, the new waterproof Tamok models are the ideal equipment. Equipped with the innovative EPE Gore-Tex membrane, the line presents itself as highly functional, with a sustainable and durable outer material and as equally windproof and breathable as other regular weatherproof membranes.

The Tamok Gore-Tex performance shell jacket, developed for deep snow descents, is also suitable for all other skiing and snowboarding activities and offers optimal protection and high performance. The accompanying bib ensures freedom of movement, wind and waterproofness and optimized breathability. The two-layer Tamok Gore-Tex jacket is also suitable for free ride activities, offers a ski helmet compatible storm hood and a sewn-in snow guard.

Also part of the collection is a Norrøna XL ski bag made of 100% recycled polyester that is suitable for carrying two to four skis or one to two snowboards.

For f/w 2023/2024 Norrøna is also launching a range of high-quality caps made of 100% Merino wool lined with Bluesign certified fleece made from 100% recycled polyester and some models made from 100% organic cotton.
