Diesel, the Italian premium jeanswear and fashion brand, has just launched Diesel Rehab Denim, a specific capsule collection with a circular and sustainable approach.

The collection was first introduced by showing some key pieces during its f/w 2022 runway show, and now it is offered through a more comprehensive collection for Pre-Spring 2023 available on diesel.com and selected Diesel stores worldwide starting from February 13th 2023.

The Italian jeans brand has partnered with the Spanish sustainable denim specialist Tejidos Royo for Diesel Rehab Denim project, a special jeans collection made with denim fabrics that incorporate scraps from Diesel’s own cutting waste into the manufacturing process. Therefore, each garment is made with 100% recycled cotton and recycled elastane from pre-consumer waste blended with Tencel Lyocell with Refibra technology.

Moreover, the denim used for the collection was dyed with Tejdos Royo’s own Dry Indigo Technology, an innovative technique that uses zero water and drastically reduces also the amount of chemicals and energy used in the denim dying process.

The Pre-Spring 2023 row this collection consists of three different washes–Fade Out, Bleach and Shadow–which combine a vintage indigo aspect with the gray hue.

Part of the capsule are men’s, women’s and all-gender silhouettes such as monster cargo pants with a toggled waist, an oversized bomber jacket, a zip-up trucker jackets and an asymmetrical A-line skirt. Two styles of jeans include a low-rise straight leg silhouette with deconstructed trompe l’oeil details and raw edges.

Diesel Rehab Denim is devised to reinvent the denim manufacturing processes, while it reflects a sense of irreverence and humor in its name and design. The project wants to continue pursuing the brand’s dedication to promoting better and innovative practices that are more modern, considered and responsible, as part of an ongoing process of learning and evolving to implement sustainability practices as most effectively as possible.
