The outdoor casual wear Camel Active brand has appointed Jürgen Sabelhaus for the newly created the position of head of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Management with effect from May 1, 2022.
The 52-year-old textile finishing technician has been responsible within the Bültel Group for product compliance, washing technology and environmental protection since 2002. In his new function, he leads a team of three employees and reports directly to Camel Active managing directors Volker Weschenfelder and Frank Brüggemann. “For the past two years as a project manager, Jürgen Sabelhaus has played a major role in advancing the topic of sustainability at Camel Active, and now we are very excited to have him –as an absolute textile expert with many years of experience –as head of CSR,” said Frank Brüggemann, Camel Active managing director, product, wholesale & sale.
Volker Weschenfelder, managing director, marketing, retail & e-commerce, added: “We have defined our Camel Active sustainability mission ‘Make an Active Change’, as a fundamental component of our brand strategy. The next step is to establish our initiatives firmly throughout all areas of our company and in cooperation with our external partners.”
