On 10 Decemeber, 2014, Supra Footwear celebrated the opening of a flagship store in Mexico City. The store is located at Insurgentes Sur 34 in the historic Colonia Juarez neighborhood of Mexico Distrito Federal and offers Supra’s full line of footwear, apparel and accessories.
“As Mexico’s capital city, opening a store here makes perfect sense in securing a longtime home for Supra,” said Supra co-founder Scott Bailey. “Since we started this company some of our most ardent fans have been from Mexico, so we look forward to nurturing that relationship as the brand continues to grow globally.”
Team skateboard riders Chad Muska and Spencer Hamilton attended the opening. The former, in collaboration with Mexican artist Tachi, created a custom sculpture that reflects the ancestry of Mexico City with its pyramids and provides a piece of skate-able art for the store.
Supra Mexico City is the brand’s fifth location with other stores in Paris, New York City, Santa Monica and Tokyo.
