Three stores have opened in England's capital in recent weeks. Vans fans get their money's worth in the London store. The flagship at 214 Oxford Street is the largest Vans store in Europe with 4,712 sq. meters and stocks a wide selection of footwear, apparel and accessories.
The Oxford Street location goes beyond a traditional retail area and hosts a custom lab where consumers can express themselves creatively by customizing their purchases. Vans artists in the store are available to support the process and offer a wide range of artistic tools to customize each of the products. In addition to men's, women's and children's clothing and footwear, the space is also the destination for Vans' pro skate and surf series.
Another store opening was celebrated by Timberland with its first Purpose Led Flagship in 5-7 Carnaby Street. The 200-sq.-meter store is characterized by natural elements like real trees and a green "Living Wall.” On pillars spread across the store, customers can learn about the company's CSR strategy, sustainability message, recyclable materials and other technologies used in the production of Timberland products. The company used recycled industrial materials and mannequins made of bio-resin. The store stocks shoes and clothing for women, men and children. Customers can also design their own individual version of iconic Timberland styles at the Design Your Own station.
Weekday celebrated the opening of its 470-sq.-meter store in Shoreditch on High Street. The store features a hybrid of upscaled industrial materials inspired by the cityscape. The location also features a store-made studio, with visible screen-printing stations in which global events and happenings are created on a weekly basis. In addition Weekday also celebrated its new campaign LDN creative–a limited edition print capsule collection designed by seven London creatives across art, design, music, fashion, photography, skate and activism–one for each day of the week.
