Diesel Group has a new CEO, Massimo Piombini. The manager was CEO at Balmain for the last three years and previously spent over a decade at Valentino as commercial director. Previously he worked for other luxury brands, such as Bally, Bulgari and Gucci. He will join the Italian-based company in February 2020 and report to OTB CEO Ubaldo Minelli.

Renzo Rosso, president and founder of Diesel, the brand born over 40 years and part of his own OTB holding, commented: "Diesel is a unique brand that stands for self-expression, creativity and alternative energy. It is an icon that changed the industry with its lifestyle approach, pioneering product and revolutionary communication, and a company that I recently took back to its roots, which is already giving very positive results. I wish Massimo to fuel its engine and take it where it deserves to be."

Diesel is headquartered in Breganze, Italy. It counts 5,000 employees and offices in the most important international cities. It operate through an omnichannel distribution network that covers over 100 countries in the world, 700 monobrand stores, and license agreements in the most important fashion and lifestyle categories (fragrances, watches and jewelry, eyewear and the whole Living concept covering furniture, lighting, kitchen and bathroom, tableware, wooden flooring, ceramic tiles and home linen).
