The Italian brand Marni will become part of Renzo Rosso’s Only the Brave (OTB) holding, as was announced today.
Founded in Milan by Consuelo and Gianni Castiglioni in 1994, Marni offers complete ready-to-wear lines for men and women, accessories and children clothing. The iconic fashion brand currently operates more than 100 own stores in Asia, Europe and the United States.
"I am extremely happy about this new entry in the group. Marni represents exactly the concept of fashion I would love to see associated with OTB. A style that's unique, recognizable, individual, fresh and modern. And an outlook that is always international. I have an incredible respect for Consuelo's talent and I am sure that the association between her creative vision and the support and know-how of OTB will take Marni to new, incredible goals", stated Renzo Rosso.
"I am satisfied of the agreement reached with OTB. This offers an extraordinary opportunity for the further development for our company, whilst preserving the brand's identity and the entrepreneurial spirit of our family", commented Gianni Castiglioni.
The OTB holding includes the fashion brands Maison Martin Margiela, Viktor&Rolf, Diesel, and Staff International, a specialised prêt-à-porter made in Italy manufacturer owning the licenses of brands like DSquared, Just Cavalli, Vivienne Westwood Red Label and Man, and Marc Jacobs Men. The consolidated 2011 turnover of the group reached €1.375 billion.
