The Finnish textile and clothing brand Marimekko has appointed Anna Teurnell to its new creative director and member of the company’s management group as of July 15, 2014. This way, Marimekko completes the international recruitment process, which has been announced by the company last February. Prior to her appointment, Teurnell has held various roles within brand management and design for the Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) Group. Minna Kemell-Kutvonen, previous creative director of Marimekko, will remain in the design team and be responsible for print design.

Anna Teurnell's artistic vision, international experience and Nordic background are a great combination to help us meet our high ambitions.”
