German denim brand Mustang has entered India, marking another milestone in the company’s expansion and vertical integration strategy. The company signed a partnership agreement with Shopper’s Stop Limited, India’s large format department store chain, and the first shop-in-shop has already commenced operations in Cyberabad (Andhra Pradesh, India). Subsequent Mustang shop-in-shops, operating in collaboration with Shopper’s Stop, are set to open in other key cities in India. Each shop-in-shop features the typical Mustang CI with a mix of wood and rusty iron covering a floor area of 35 to 45 sq. meters. Shopper’s Stop is one of the leading players in India’s fashion market, with anchor stores in the country’s most successful shopping malls. It is India’s largest retailer of global lifestyle and jeanswear brands.
