G-Star’s leadership realignment continues: After former global brand director Shubhankar Ray left his role in September and Aitor Throup was appointed new executive creative director a month later, G-Star has now appointed a new CEO duo. Long-term staff members Patrick Kraaijeveld (former chief commercial officer) and Rob Schilder (former chief operations officer) will take over the lead as new co-CEOs.

Jos van Tilburg, G-Star’s CEO for the past 27 years, will remain involved as chairman of the board of G-Star and shift his focus from daily operations to a strategic level. 
“I am confident that Patrick Kraaijeveld and Rob Schilder will lead this company as CEOs with the same passion as I have done and will continue to do as chairman. Ongoing product development combined with creativity and innovation has been our guiding principle since day one and Rob and Patrick are dedicated to continue and expand on this mission”, said van Tilburg.

In a corporate statement, G-Star pointed out that Kraaijeveld and Schilder had naturally grown in responsibilities, therefore it was a “logical moment to formalize this in a co-CEO structure”, providing a “clear division of responsibilities in top management”.
