French luxury giant LVMH has purchased another iconic Italian brand. After the acquisition of Italian brands Emilio Pucci, Fendi and Bulgari, LVMH has recently bought the historical luxury patisserie shop Cova Montenapoleone, located in Milan at Via Montenapoleone 8. LVMH has acquired the majority of the Pasticceria Confetteria Cova srl company that own and manage the well known Cova Montenapoleone, which was founded in Milan in 1817.

The operation aims to preserve this institution and part of Milanese history, but also to strengthen international operations. The patisserie will remain in the same location.

Cova began expanding internationally 20 years ago and already have licensed franchise cafes in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Shanghai. The Faccioli family continue to be involved in managing the company by holding a quota of the group.
