German retail concept Kauf dich Glücklich is going international. On July 25, the two founders Andrea Dahmen and Christoph Munier will open their first store abroad in Vienna, Austria.
On a sales space of 280 sqm, the new shop, located at Kirchengasse 9, will sell Kauf dich Glücklich’s typical selection of fashion, home accessories, books and music and will also host a little café.

Next to Scandinavian brands such as Ganni, Mads Nørgaard, Cheap Monday or Just Female, the clean and clearly designed women’s department will showcase Kauf dich Glücklich’s own fashion, shoes and accessories collection. Its light wooden interior is contrasted by darker elements in the men’s department, which houses brands such as Topman, Just Junkies, Wemoto or Ben Sherman.

Kauf dich Glücklich’s first fashion store opened in Bremen in 2006. The owners currently run 15 stores in Germany plus an own online shop. In December 2014, Kauf dich Glücklich will celebrate its fourth store opening of the year in Hannover.

Dahmen and Munier are confident with their further expansion abroad. “If Vienna works out, than we can also manage to open a store in Amsterdam or somewhere else. Why shouldn’t we open a store in New York some day? We are convinced that nothing is impossible”, said Christoph Munier.
