The Paris-based company Karl Lagerfeld has recently announced the appointment of Helen Wright as Global Vice President Retail, and Jesus Samper Velasco as Vice President Product and Merchandising. “The hire of these great talents follows our strategy to diligently grow and further develop our accessories and retail business,” said Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of Karl Lagerfeld.

In her new role, Helen Wright will supervise all aspects of Karl Lagerfeld’s global retail business. Prior to her appointment, she has proven experience in strategic retail management and growing luxury lifestyle brands, including companies such as LVMH Group, Bamford and Ralph Lauren. The retail and operations teams will report to Wright, who assumes her role effective April 14, 2014.

Jesus Samper Velasco started at Karl Lagerfeld as Global Vice President of Product and Merchandising end of last year. Before joining the company, he has been employed by Inditex for many years, holding various roles in the accessories segment. All design and product development teams report directly to Samper Velasco, who also collaborates with retail and operations teams to oversee a product’s lifecycle from the initial conception up to the end consumer.

Both Helen Wright and Jesus Samper will directly report to CEO Pier Paolo Righi.
