Kiton, Italian traditional tailor-made brand, is supporting new emerging designers. During the September edition of Milan Fashion Week, within simultaneously running trade show Mi Milano Prêt-à-porter, Kiton collaborated for the Mi Pap+ project with two young designers, Nicholas Julitta and Andrea Colombo, who designed two women's capsule collections for s/s 2012 for Kiton. "The idea for a joint initiative with Mi Milano Prêt-à-porter was born from our common opinion to research and support absolute excellence and the importance to teach young generations true and unique “made-in-Italy savoir-faire," commented Antonio De Matteis, CEO Kiton.

Nicholas Julitta was trained in fashion design at designer Carol Christian Poell's atelier and IED school and also worked for Valentino Fashion Group. Andrea Colombo got his degree at IED and attended Taik design school in Helsinki, worked at Blaak Studio in London and collaborated with Cerruti. Kiton had asked the two talents to create four women contemporary outfits each while following tailor-made apparel codes. Colombo redesigned Kiton's traditional blazer in looser variants and mixed them with modern skirts. Julitta deconstructed the overcoat and the A-line dress.

The projects were presented at Milan's Kiton boutique on Via Del Gesù 11 during Milan Fashion Week and Mi Milano Prêt-à-porter, fieramilanocity, and will be available for spring/summer 2012.
