German trade fair organizer, Igedo Company, is adapting to the changes of the market and will host the last edition of its concept CPD Signatures in Düsseldorf in February of 2012. Nevertheless, according to Igedo Company, Düsseldorf will still remain to play a central role for the handling of the ordering business. For this reason, next summer, ‘The Gallery Düsseldorf’ will take place for the first time as an off-show at the Böhlerwerke in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel. On an exhibition space of 11,000sqm in newly renovated industry halls, designer-, avant-garde- and accessory collections as well as contemporary fashion collections will be featured. Also in the pipeline are events that will run simultaneously to The Gallery Düsseldorf.
In a second step, Igedo Company will launch ‘The Gallery Berlin’ in January of 2012 at the event location ‘Moskau’ in Berlin Mitte. This event will have a ‘preview character’ and will present 80 collections in an extraordinary location. The exhibitor portfolio also includes a selection of designer, avant-garde- and accessory collections. The Gallery Berlin is scheduled to take place twice a year, in January and July.
Philipp Kronen, Managing director of Igedo Company, said: “With the two event formats in Germany we offer an excellent platform for clearly defined target groups.” Mirjam Dietz, Executive Director Fashion, added: “The fashion market has completely changed in the past years and we have to react to this fact which means: We enable our core target group of brands the performance in Berlin in order to present themselves at the start of the season, and offer an ideal work atmosphere in Düsseldorf in a great location that we could also use more than 3 days, if needed.”
The exact dates of the upcoming events by Igedo Company are the following: CPD Signatures – Feb. 4-6, 2012; The Gallery Düsseldorf – July 21-23, 2012; The Gallery Berlin – Jan. 18-20, 2012 and July 4-6, 2012; CPI - Feb. 9-11, 2012; CPM - Feb. 28 - March 2, 2012.
