Following Christian Lacroix’s collaboration with bottled spring water giant Evian in 2007, fellow Frenchman Jean Paul Gaultier has designed the Evian Prêt-à-Porter Bottle and Evian Haute Couture Bottle by Jean Paul Gaultier for 2009. Sporting interlocking snowflakes, JPG’s limited edition Prêt-à-Porter bottle recalls the crisp, mountain tops of the French Alps from which Evian Natural Spring Water is derived and Gaultier’s signature maritime inspiration. As for the latter? In true couture vein, only seven of the Haute Couture bottles will be released worldwide. The cylindrical bottles will tour select international venues before being auctioned off, with proceeds going to the Evian Water Protection Institute, which restores and maintains wetlands across the globe. JPG’s Evian Prêt-à-Porter Bottle is currently available for pre-order at Upon official Stateside release, however, the bottle will be up for grabs at the country’s hottest restaurants, hotels and nightclubs. Meanwhile, if you haven’t stocked up on Lacroix’s feminine, coppiced lace bottles, here’s your last chance. The limited edition Prêt-à-Porter bottle ends its run this fall.
