Wallace Faulds has been named head designer of C.P. Company.

Faulds, 30, was previously head of design for John Galliano’s men’s line from 2005 through February 2009.

“This is going to be an adventure as much as a challenge. I feel very excited and positive about the future. You need only to look to the past to see what wonderful achievements C.P. Company has made within modern menswear,” explains Faulds, whose first collection for the inventive brand will bow this June for the S/S 2010 season.

Says Carlo Rivetti, C.P. Company Owner and Chairman, of the Scotsman: “I met Wallace when he graduated and followed his work ever since. I decided to entrust him with the stylistic direction of C.P. Company because of his love and talent for interpreting product and his passion for materials and colors. He combines great skills with an eagerness to experiment and a deep knowledge and respect for the C.P. Company world.”

Rivetti adds: “At C.P. Company we will not focus on radical changes but on the strengthening of archetypes. Wallace will contribute his fresh and international vision to the natural evolution of the brand into the future. His appointment is a logical response to the needs of today’s world, with total respect for our long-lasting ideals.”
