Italian thermal insulation specialist Thermore has just launched Freedom, a new padding that is 40% stretch. Such a performance is unique in the insulation market according to the company, as other manufacturers offer paddings that can be maximum 10% stretch performance guaranteeing very low resistance to traction.

Thermore is also strongly committed to supporting animal-friendly and sustainable issues. It has recently received the PETA Approved Vegan certification as all of its thermal insulation materials are 100% made with synthetic fibers only–therefore they don’t exploit animals in any way.

Also highly sustainable are other Thermore paddings made with fibers obtained from recycled PET bottles. Thermore Ecodown, for instance, is made with 100% recycled fibers while Thermore Classic and Thermore Thermosoft are made with 50% recycled fibers. An L-size man’s jacket padded with Thermore Ecodown recycles about 10 PET bottles, while a jacket containing Thermore Classic or Thermore Thermosoft recycles five bottles.
