London-based fashion label Folk has opened its first store in Germany in Munich on Nov. 19. The retail space of the store on Munich’s Amalienstrasse formerly was occupied by American Apparel, and now houses finest handmade menswear. The walls of the store are made out of recycled wood; and three marble heads created by the renowned sculptor Paul Van Stone decorate the store. In addition, Folk exclusively designed an installation of lights consisting of fluorescent tubes.
Folk has three shops in England, shop-in-shops in London’s famous Liberty and Harvey Nichols and 200 shops worldwide. The label originally created only menswear but also added shoes for men and women in 2004.
