Red Circle, an investment company owned by Renzo Rosso and his family, has acquired a minority quota of the Italian eyewear brand Retrosuperfuture.
Founded in 2007, Retrosuperfuture quickly became successful after launching the innovative sunglasses line Super by Retrosuperfuture, which is characterized by innovative silhouettes and innovative acetate mixes. Such models also became popular as they were worn by many international celebrities including Kanye West, Yoko Ono, Beyoncé, Giorgio Moroder, Rihanna, Ronaldo and A$AP Rocky.
Super by Retrosuperfuture is entirely ‘Made in Italy’ and always collaborating with some of the best worldwide eyewear component manufacturers, who are developing new productive techniques with them, employing innovative materials, adding treatments and details, and are always employing top quality lenses such as Zeiss. The brand is now widely distributed through a 20-country store network.

Daniel Beckerman, founder of Retrosuperfuture, commented: “Renzo has always been near to us even from far. I am very enthusiastic about this partnership. It will be a mutual and profitable exchange that can only be positive.”
“I know Daniel and his family for years and I have always followed the birth and development of Retrosuperfuture,” commented Renzo Rosso, president of Red Circle, who will join Retrosuperfuture’s board of directors. “The freshness and innovation level of this company makes it the ideal partner for collaborating with some of most interesting designers worldwide.”
Currently, the Milanese brand Retrosuperfuture is celebrating its 10th birthday and, while officially announcing the new partnership, will organize a not-to-be missed-Super 10 Year Party happening on 16 June for the opening of the Milan Menswear shows.
