High fashion online store Stylebop celebrated its comeback this week. The relaunch took place under the leadership of Fashion ID GmbH & Co. KG, the e-commerce subsidiary of the Düsseldorf-based retail group Peek & Cloppenburg KG (P&C). In the course of expanding the portfolio and developing new target groups, Fashion ID GmbH & Co. KG took over Stylebop, which had to file for insolvency in August 2019.
Stylebop was founded in 2004 by Mario and Thorsten Eimuth and was the first luxury fashion online store in Germany. After continuing losses, sales fell within a year from €44 million to €34.5 million. The then main owner Media Ventures took the consequences in 2019 and applied for creditor protection for Stylebop.
With Stylebop, Fashion ID GmbH & Co. KG wants to establish itself on the luxury market and begin corresponding supplier relationships. The basic orientation of the luxury online store is to be maintained. However, the brand range is to be expanded.

Currently Stylebop offers a product mix for men and women from luxury designers as well as modern, international premium brands and newcomer designers. The approximately 150 brands include Kenzo, Marni, Maison Margiela and Vetements. The product selection covers all relevant and current seasonal goods in the premium and luxury segment, including shoes and accessories. In addition, selected cooperations are planned, for example with Drykorn and Tigha.
The launch of the online store will also see the launch of the new private label "Stylebop,” which is available exclusively at stylebop.com. The house brand offers customers a wide range of products in the initial price ranges of the luxury segment. Initially there will be a men's collection with modern, casual clothing.
