For f/w 2015/2016, Italian downjacket brand Duvetica is launching a new selection of knitwear pieces as complements for its main collection made up of down jackets.

The new series of complements includes about 30 items, mostly aimed at male consumers, all including down padding elements. “We don’t want to start launching a complete total look since our core business continues to focus on outer jackets,” explained Paola Albizi, designer and co-owner of Duvetica also referring to a series of longer coats and jackets including heavy wool panels, though always incorporating down padding. “Our aim is to target also a slightly older consumer than in the past, though keeping our target on down products,” continues Albizi, while adding that they employ only down material from French certified duck breeding farms.

Great research was also poured in Duvetica’s knitwear items made with top quality materials such as wool, cashmere and some exclusively developed materials. Among them is also a special wool material developed in collaboration with Zegna that also incorporates a very small percentage of feathers. They also developed special wool yarns in collaboration with specialized wool manufacturer Cerruti.

Duvetica is strongly expanding globally. After opening a new showroom in Milan a year ago, it has opened a new showroom in Tokyo, in January 2015. Following the opening of new flagship stores in Munich and Gstaad (also see our previous article) in 2014, they will open a new 200-sq.meter store in St. Moritz by July 2015.
