Next weekend, Düsseldorf will turn into the hottest fashion spot in Germany thanks to Collections Premiere Düsseldorf (CPD), the city’s ordering days for the spring/summer’17 season. Besides three key trade shows, numerous smaller order platforms and over 800 showrooms spread across the city will open their doors to showcase nearly 3,000 brands and designers.

According to data collected by the Office of Economic Development in Düsseldorf, the fashion industry accounts for 7.6% of the region’s economy –the sector represents 3% of Germany’s economy– and employs 33,632 people. Companies such as C&A, Peek & Cloppenburg and L’Oreal run their German home base in the city.

Here’s a small preview with the key facts that you should know about each fair in Düsseldorf.
