Here we asked denim lover, blogger & expert Thomas Stege Bojer aka The Denimhunter to list and write about his very personal top ten denim stores around the globe.
Each day in the next two weeks we will present one of Bojer's favorites.

Today, it's part II with Brund in Copenhagen.

"Raw denim probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Danish fashion. But our capital does have one destination for it. I'm arguably as biased as you can be. Not only is Brund located in my hometown; it's been a cradle for my denim passion. Brund was my school of denim. For about two and a half years from the autumn of 2011, I worked there part-time while I was studying marketing, Owner Henrik Brund opened the store in January of 2004. Hed been fascinated with denim, and all the myths and stories surrounding it, ever since he wore iron-pressed Orange Tabs in the "70s. But his original plan was actually to open a furniture store focusing on vintage chairs; genuine quality and classic designs that develop patina. Just like raw denim.

When I met Henrik, we instantly bonded over our shared appreciation of creating your own fades; seeing and discovering the depth in the fabric as you wear, wash and repair it: 'I've never understood the concept of buying 'pre-washed’ and strangely washed jeans,' he says. 'They don't last as long and cost you more money. It doesn't make any sense'. A favorable quality to price ratio, timeless designs and durability are the common characteristics of the brands youll find at Brund. 'We’ve always focused on storytelling and educating our customers about good quality and long-lasting products,' Henrik explains.

For Brund, it's not about being first or having everything for everyone. As store manager Peter Rerskov argues, the mix of high- quality products and friendly customer-focused service is what makes Brund worth a visit."
