G-Star Raw expands its efforts towards more sustainability by autumn 2020 and announces further products with Cradle to Cradle Gold status.
Circular Denim Icons
At the beginning of the year, the Dutch jeans brand launched the 'Denim Icons' collection, which G-Stars says is the most sustainable collection to date.
Six more sustainable denim styles with Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold status, made from organic cotton blended with a "sustainable stretch fiber", will follow this autumn.

The new styles include the C-Staq for women and five existing models in new washings: the G-Bleid Slim, the 5620 Relaxed Tapered and the Scutar Slim Jacket for men as well as the Kate Boyfriend and Tedie for women.
Circular T-Shirts
In addition, this season G-Star is introducing a line of eleven jersey and rib T-shirts for women, all of which have achieved Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold status and are made from 100 percent organic cotton.

Together with Italian denim Mill Candiani, Iken Superstretch O will be presented, according to G-Star a denim with the "world's first regenerative indigo dyeing concept".
Iken Superstretch O onsists of 97% organic cotton and 3% RoicaTM EF, a stretch yarn certified according to the Global Recycled Standard. The material will be used in five different jeans styles: Airblaze, Lancet and D-Staq for men and Noxer and Kafey for women.

G-Star has updated its Rovulc denim sneaker with a 'Zero Waste' concept: the shoe is made from "Renewed Denim R" made from 100% recycled cotton and 100% recycled indigo yarn respectively, giving it its blue-grey hue.
