Isko I-Skool, Isko’s educational project and annual award, recently presented its 7th edition’s finalists and partners via webinar. The event, that usually took place at Isko’s Creative Room near Treviso, Italy, connected students, young professionals and tutors through a digital platform.

The 20 shortlisted finalists, selected from over 150 applicants, participated the Denim Seminar focused on this year’s creative theme announced during the last January 2020 Neonyt Berlin edition: “North, East, South, West–connected by one planet.”

Throughout the editions, the Denim Seminar has always meant to involve the shortlisted finalists in a special two-day learning event providing hands-on experiences along with technical and soft skills development.

- “Field to fabric: from cotton to denim fabric” by Baris Ozden, product development manager, Isko R&D Center;

Partners of the 2020 edition are Itema, Jeanologia, Cadica, Cotton Inc., Replay and The Tailor Pattern Support.

“This is a very important moment, within the whole Isko I-Skool program,” claimed Irem Orhun, Isko senior executive Isko I-Skool Project. “The Denim Seminar is when participants have a concrete chance to gain both knowledge and competences to turn their vision into real garments. We wanted to grant them the possibility to fully experience this moment, even in the difficult international situation we are living, finding a new way to reach them all around the world. We are glad we did it and now we are eager to see what this year’s finalists will present at the end of this journey.”
