There are executive changes afoot at Sportswear International’s parent company.
Klaus Kottmeier, 85, the longstanding chairman of the supervisory board of dfv Mediengruppe and former spokesman of the management board, will leave the company's supervisory board on December 31, 2019. From January 1, 2020, he will be available to the shareholders and the supervisory board in an advisory capacity.
Angela Wisken, 63, spokeswoman of the management board of dfv Mediengruppe, will join the supervisory board on January 1, 2020 and will leave the management board and the editor-in-chief role of Lebensmittel Zeitung. As a member of the supervisory board, she will, however, take over the editorial responsibilities of Lebensmittel Zeitung, TextilWirtschaft and HORIZONT and continue to be responsible for the basic journalistic orientation of the media group and, in particular, for the further development of digital media offerings.
From January 1, 2020, Andreas Lorch will be the main shareholder, Catrin Lorch the further shareholder and Peter Ruß and Angela Wisken will be members of the supervisory board of dfv Mediengruppe. Wisken also joins the supervisory boards of the subsidiaries dfv Euro Finance Group, FVW Medien, Matthaes Verlag, Manstein Zeitschriftenverlag and the board of Edizoni Ecomarket in Milan.
Peter Esser, 55, and Sönke Reimers, 55, will be appointed equal spokespersons for the management of the dfv Mediengruppe at the beginning of 2020. Following Wisken's move to the supervisory board, the editor-in-chief of the Lebensmittel Zeitung will also be filled from January 1, 2020: Christiane Preuschat, 48, will become editor-in-chief of the Lebensmittel Zeitung, Tanja Fries, 40, and Jan Mende, 45, will be appointed deputy editor-in-chiefs. Bernd Biehl, 60, and Gerd Hanke, 62, remain further members of the editor-in-chief.
Also on January 1, 2020, Thomas Berner, 48, authorized signatory, will finally be appointed deputy to Peter Kley, commercial director.
