On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the iconic Desert Boot, Clarks has kicked off a marketing campaign called “From Rats to Rudeboys” that allows end consumers to talk via Whatsapp with three of the historical personalities that once wore or are somehow related to these boots in order to get insights about the story behind the product.
Through teaser films on social media, users are prompted to add the phone numbers of one of these individuals. Afterwards, the user gets an introduction into the story of the Desert Boot by the hand of its pioneer: Nathan Clark. Only then, users can start talking with these 3 people, who will send images, playlists, videos and messages to take them back to the cultural moments when Desert Boots were on their feet.
