British menswear brand Lyle & Scott has collaborated with London’s Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design during this year’s Wool Week which took place from October 14-20, 2013.

This is the first time the renowned design college has taken part in Wool Week. St. Martins students were asked to design a woollen jumper for Lyle & Scott, with Lyle & Scott’s knitwear designer Lynn Cockburn and Creative Director Carolyn Massey, focused on Wool Week’s current topic “Tradition of British knitwear”.

Kate Annis was awarded the winner of the contest. Her pullover design will eventually be exclusively sold in the new Lyle & Scott flagship store on London’s Carnaby Street as well as online from the brand’s web store. The jumper is made from 100% lambswool and will retail at around €190. 5% of the retail price will be donated to a fashion education program in the UK.

Wool Week is a project by the Campaign for Wool, a global initiative to inform consumers about the diversity of wool and push the growth of the wool industry.
