Düsseldorf-based Igedo Company gets a good response for the newly launched fair event, CPD Signatures, with an important new part being the young segment with jeans and fashion brands. Labels like His, Colins, Firetrap, De Ville Jeans, Justing Jeans, Split Star, Blue Seven, and Cipo & Baxx, already confirmed their participation and every day new applications are coming in. Günther Sommer, who formerly was sales and marketing manager for recently terminated trade fair Jam, says: “Many jeans and fashion brands were asking me for a new platform.” Now the young fashion community is getting a new fair place in Düsseldorf. With the focus on jeans and fashion brands, the new event will also host contemporary brands and designer labels.

The brands are located in fashion halls 13 and 14 with a size of 25,000 sqm. All stands have a unique modern construction concept but exhibitors can create the inside interior individually. The halls are modern and light-flooded and close to the showrooms in the city. Trade visitors have free admission. Mirjam Dietz, Executive Director Fashion at Igedo: “We have made a radical change. With CPD Signatures, we are creating a complete new concept.”

CPD Signatures is divided into four areas: Moods is the area for young fashion, jeans, sportswear and lifestyle brands, Styles is the place for international modern women collections, Superiors for established designer and premium collections, and Complements is the area for lifestyle brands and designer accessories. The young area Moods will be the anchor section of CPD Signatures. In addition, the meeting point with VIPs, the press lounge and the catwalk area will be a highlight in the fashion areas.

The new event will have its debut on February 6-8, 2011, at the exhibitions center Düsseldorf. Also the summer date has already been released which is July 24-26, 2011. “The dates for the fair are perfect because all export markets (Russia, Eastern Europe, the Far East, Canada) are placing their orders at this time. They are coming for business to Düsseldorf,” explains Mirjam Dietz. The opening hours will be from Sunday to Monday from 10–7, and Tuesday from 10–4.
