Premiata, an Italian premium sneaker and footwear brand, is launching John Low, a new sustainable sneaker model that is a result of high-research “dernier-cri” responsible innovation.
The new style designed and developed by Graziano Mazza, art director and founder of the brand, is produced by using 80% regenerated materials according to key Made in Italy patented processes that avoid wasting water.
The shoes’ upper are made with Evolo suede leathers tanned by Conceria Sciarada according to sustainable, certified and patented processes that respect the environment by collecting and regenerating leather production leftovers. Also part of the upper is a regenerated nylon fabric by Limonta made with Econyl yarns obtained from pre- and post-consumer waste including industrial waste, fishing nets and carpets.
Its inner lining is made with biodegradable goat leather tanned with organic substances free from harmful leftovers and produced using very little water.
Soles are made with 50% of recycled rubber obtained from recycling production remains though cleaned from sulfur and accelerators, added with 50% natural rubber. EVA parts are made out 40% recycled materials, too.
Moreover, their boxes are made with certified recycled cardboard and carry printed messages that invite consumers to recycle them for other uses.
