Not only does UK heritage menswear brand Farah celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020, but also starts its expansion to Japan through a license agreement with Itochu Corporation. This has been announced by Farah's mother company Perry Ellis International, Inc.
“As we celebrate our centennial anniversary, we are very excited to announce this collaboration with a powerful, global partner like Itochu. This agreement complements our work together across other brands and markets,” says Oscar Feldenkreis, CEO and president, Perry Ellis International.
Itochu Corporation was founded in 1858 when the company's founder Chubei Itoh commenced linen trading operations. Today, Itochu runs 110 bases in 63 countries (including Japan) and is engaged in domestic trading, import/export, and overseas trading of various products such as textile, machinery, metals, minerals, energy, chemicals, food, general products, realty, information and communications technology, and finance, as well as business investment in Japan and overseas.
