Stefano Angelico, a longtime insider of the denim business and son of a tailor from Rome, recently inaugurated Braves & Company Atelier N°12, a new atelier and store in Hamburg at Paul-Roosen Strasse 12, and launched some new apparel projects under the Braves & Company umbrella.
While consulting for denim and jeanswear companies as creative director from this new studio, Angelico can also provide additional services and product lines.

“I was literally raised in an atelier, breathing the dusty air of fabrics and the scent of espresso absorbing the know-how and professional secrets handed down from master to apprentice,” he explains. “Learning to appreciate slowly handmade goods inspired me and became my profession.” This same spirit is now poured in his own denim collections Dry Sartorial Goods and Made to Select, part of the Braves & Company umbrella brand.

Dry Sartorial Goods is a collection offering five-pockets. shirts, T-shirts, denim aprons, vests and outer jackets among others, all made with a selection of fine European, Japanese and US raw fabrics. All items are offered in limited and numbered editions and produced in small product batches. Every garment is designed according to a new urban sartorial heritage meets utility. It is entirely produced in Europe by family-run laboratories based between Italy, Greece and Portugal.

Made To Select is another part of the collection that offers contemporary goods entirely handmade in his Hamburg studio by recycling secondhand pieces blended with new ones and customized upon request. “Every garment is one-of-a-kind and stitched exclusively by our own hands with obsessive care for details,” Angelico continues and underlines that the selection will not be delivered regularly. “This will be depending on our inspirations, material and vintage garment sourcing,” he explains. Made To Select can only be bought in his own atelier, while Dry Sartorial Goods is also distributed through a limited number of small high-end boutiques.

Collections are completed by chemical-free metal trims and leather badges made with full grain vegetable tanned leather.
Together with a partner based in Crete, Greece, Angelico also started offering a small range of accessories made from vegetable tanned leather.

The collection’s retail prices are €245 to €399 for bottoms, €179 for shirts, €89 for sweatshirts and leather goods from €89 to €169.
Angelico’s services also include denim mending, repairing, patching and Sashiko treatments, among others.
