Ben Sherman has teamed up once again with New York-based designer Keanan Duffty for its tailored line. The cult brand and designer feted their fourth season of working together at an exclusive buyers’ event last week during men’s market in New York.

“We are really pushing forward the design of the Ben Sherman Tailored Clothing Collection and fall ’09 is all about cropped jackets, fitted pants, split lapels, shawl collars and a style that is true to Ben Sherman’s heritage,” said Duffty, who continues to design a line for Target and appears as a style host on a local TV channel for the Hamptons, New York.

“Ben Sherman is not Pee Wee Herman either,” he added. “It is about sleek modern styling that looks sexy and fitted but not ridiculous. I love Pee Wee but I don’t want to dress like him.”

Key pieces include a Crombie-style top coat, a shawl collar blazer and notch lapel vests, with suits retailing for $695 and jackets for $395.

The 35-piece collection is expected to bow in Macy’s, Nordstrom, Ben Sherman retail stores and select boutiques.
