The American sporting goods manufacturer Reebok has appointed designer Kerby Jean-Raymond as vice president of creative direction.
In his new position, Jean-Raymond will be responsible for the creative direction of all design divisions, working closely with the product, global marketing and development teams. Jean-Raymond joins Reebok's executive management team under the leadership of president Matt O'Toole.
Jean-Raymond is the founder of the Pyer Moss brand. He has received many industry awards, including this year's CFDA Award for American Menswear Designer of the Year and Harlem's Fashion Row Designer of the Year.
PVH, the parent company of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger among others, has appointed Stefan Larsson, previously president of PVH, as Chief Executive Officer. The 46-year-old will take up his new position on February 1, 2021, succeeding Manny Chirico, who has been CEO of the company since 2006. Chirico will continue in his role as chairman of the board of directors.
It was only in June 2019 that Larsson joined PVH in the newly created position of president, where he oversees the company's brand businesses and regions and reports directly to Chirico, already with plans to succeed Chirico.
Over the past 16 months, Larsson and Chirico have worked closely together to develop short-term actions and long-term strategies, the company said. Both are focused on accelerating the company's recovery due to the impact of Covid-19.
Prior to joining PVH in 2019, Larsson was CEO of Ralph Lauren Corp. Prior to that, he served as global president of Old Navy, a division of Gap Inc.
Steven A. Davis has been appointed to the board of directors as an independent director of American Eagle Outfitters. Davis will take up his position on October 1, 2020. The appointment expands the company's board of directors to nine directors, including eight independent directors.
Previously, Steven served as chairman and CEO for Bob Evans Farms. Each year from 2005 to 2015, Black Enterprise Magazine named Davis one of the 75 most powerful Black men in American business.
Steven holds a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Finance from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee.
